3 Ways to Make an All-Atlantic Pledge
In celebration of World Oceans Day, make a splash and help save the environment! As part of our commitment to protecting ocean life, the All-Atlantic 2021 Conference is organized in close cooperation with the European Commission will launch an All-Atlantic Pledging Platform as a new approach to the existing cooperation and to deliver solutions to accelerate the twin green and digital transitions, building a greener, fairer, and a more resilient society.
Discussions on the new methodologies for ocean observation and ecosystems-based management linked to digitalization processes represent an important innovative step towards the integration of the Ocean-Space-Climate-Food nexus, contributing to Ocean Sustainability.
- How can we keep strengthening this All-Atlantic Cooperation?
- What are the needs for the long term?
- What synergies can we keep to be built?
Everyone can be a part of this event as we work together to protect the planet by reducing or eliminating our use of single-use plastics and protecting our marine life.
First, the pledge must be a real commitment. Committing to making a real difference. Start out by signing the pledge! Agreeing to be a part of the fight to preserve our oceans is the first step to making things happen.
So, we expect, if we publish this pledge, that people will be accountable for what they promised for their commitment, but also, we want to share through the social networks, the ideas to have badges, for example, and cards, and to try to use this pledge to mobilise other people to participate in the same pledge or to have their pledge on their own.
Second, It is communicating your interests and concerns. Talking to people is the best way to spread news. By increasing awareness about ocean conservation and preservation issues among family members and friends, you’re taking a big step toward protecting the ocean.
I hope from data, providing data, providing access to infrastructure, sharing infrastructures. Also, sharing images, photographs, ideas, sharing governance of some areas.
Third, It is challenging yourself daily. Making an impact doesn’t have to be a burden: It can be as easy as making minor adjustments to a daily behavior so it’s more eco-friendly. Try to commit to doing just one thing every day that challenges your habits.
